Project Overview

We knew, almost immediately after meeting this client for the first time, that we’s work exceptionally well together. Indeed, they quickly explained that our genuine enthusiasm and sense of practicality sealed the deal for us. DJI designed and delivered two key demises for Peninsula in Dublin including a very strong reception and suite of meeting rooms. We have since then, advised them on their space in Belfast and also in Manchester.

Central to the concept was a line of floating meeting pods, internally lined with salvaged wood and denoted by oversized graphic manifestations. Raw finishes such as concrete, pitted plaster, silvered barnwood etc. stand in juxtaposition against pops of colourful graphics, zesty carpets and concealed lighting.
Flooring is gently sloped on one side to allow for universal access into the floating pods and desking is angled to compensate for glare from the abundance of natural light.

In the design and fit-out of their new office at East Point, DJI Design + Construct have provided Peninsula Business Services (Ireland) with a bright, original and practical work-space.
DJI’s interpretation of the brief was superb, from stylish meeting pods to a vibrant canteen area; from a welcoming reception to a corporate boardroom. Their consultation throughout the design process ensured that every aspect, no matter how trivial, was covered, both staff and management had an input which ensured that all parties thoughts and ideas were taken into consideration in the overall design.
During the fit-out itself, they made sure we were kept fully informed, on a weekly basis, of progress. The site was operated in an exemplary fashion, ensuring multiple contractors were able to operate without conflicting with each other. Nothing was ever too much trouble, any requests and changes made during the fit-out process were dealt with expediently and without fuss. The workmanship has been superb and we have been left with an impressive office.
I would have no hesitation in recommending or endorsing DJI Design + Construct to anyone else and, as a testament to that, have already engaged them in other design and fit-out projects. Their hands-on, helpful approach is a refreshing change.
