DJI Group was founded in 2009 as a Fit Out Contracting Company and is now firmly established as a quality provider of Design + Build solutions in Ireland & UK. With Offices & Management in both Ireland & the UK, DJI Group’s Key Managers each have over 20 years of practical experience in the following sectors.

DJI fills an unmet position in the market by offering IN HOUSE design & build services tailored to the individual demands of each project and can therefore adapt in real time throughout the course of any project, adjusting technical details, value engineering and improving procurement processes to maximise the end result.

We pride ourselves on being problem solvers, researchers and creators. Our philosophy puts an emphasis on listening intently to our clients and finding the right solution tailored specifically to each one. Our talent and size lends itself to personal attention from start to finish. Creating designs that meet the changing needs of our clients is critical to everything we do and we continuously search out and remain on the technological forefront.

Our process is rooted in our philosophy of listening, dialogue and providing options in the process of discovery with the client. We present to the client a variety of design alternatives and together discuss the attributes of each scheme. We work with the client to determine the pros and cons to reach a preferred approach. This process fully engages the client in a meaningful and informed dialogue. By including the client into our process, each possibility can be examined in the light of logic that it represents, and solve issues of place and program together.

As Managing Director of DJI, David is wholly responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time & on budget. In situations where DJI is commissioned to complete design only, David supports the design team to ensure the project brief is adhered to, that the design development is realistic from a budget & time line point of view, providing a very unique support to the wider project team. MICHELLE HETHERINGTON

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

With over 20 years of continuous experience in the Irish & UK construction industry, Michelle provides a wealth of experience in every project she is involved with. Winning Irish Interior Designer of the Year in 2015-2016 confirmed Michelle’s status in the industry and since then she has regularly presented at construction and fit-out conferences. Recently, Michelle has been deemed suitable for Stage 2 of the Architects Register Admission Examination process in order to become fully registered in 2017. For questions on design, contact Michelle at:

What makes us special?

We create bespoke concepts for clients, finding new ways to emphasise brand identity through interior spaces. We provide architects and design teams with visualisation / detailing / specification support, especially when our role is project deliver. We work closely with sub-contractors to deliver efficiencies in project programming & budgets. We delicately balance the management of value engineering processes with an iron grip on design intent, ensuring the concept is never diluted. We’re as excited about small start-up concepts as we are about large corporate roll-outs.
